Creepy crawly fun, with Bug Village on Nokia Lumia

GLOBAL – Long gone are the days when I used to play with bugs in the garden. As an adult, you can’t really do those things. But now there is another way to get your bug fix. Bug Village is a free Xbox Live game for your Nokia Lumia 710, Nokia Lumia 800 or Nokia Lumia 900.
As far as mobile games go, Bug Village (published by GLU Mobile) is a beautiful-looking 3D game. Leaves, rocks and ant houses all jump out at you as you navigate around the screen.
You start with a small tutorial that lasts a couple of minutes. Then it’s straight down to business. Initially, you start with one ant that must perform all the tasks of building a little village, but as you complete more tasks you’ll earn more coins and acorns (the in-game currency) that will let you buy more houses for more ants or hives for bees.
Building a Bug Village
Building a house is one thing, but you must make it out of the nearby resources. Your ants will run off and gather material from small piles that you have to purchase and place on the ground in the garden. Work your ants too hard and they’ll grow tired. If this happens, just drop in a sugar cube to give them that much needed energy boost.
Make your way through all the challenges to create a “buzzing” village full of insects performing different tasks. You’ll earn achievements as you go that will contribute to your Xbox Live gamerscore, too.
This is a slow-paced game where time doesn’t matter. Tasks can last between fifteen minutes and several hours. But don’t worry, you don’t have to have the game open for that time, the game time will continue when you’ve closed it. If you’re short on time there is the option to speed things up a little, and that’s by purchasing more acorns and coins. Doing so will take money from your Xbox Live account, so be careful with that purchase button
